Adoption agencies perform many valuable services to aid in the adoption process. For example, agencies often work with pregnant women who want to place their child up for adoption, locate an available child for parents seeking to adopt, perform home studies as legally required for most adoptions, and attempt to locate the birth parents of adopted children, among other services. Agencies often serve as a liaison between the parties involved in the adoption (the biological parents and the adoptive parents) and help them navigate the system.
John Grant with our law firm works with Catholic Charities’ adoption program on a regular basis, and we would recommend Catholic Charities’ adoption services without reservation. Catholic Charities performs all the services mentioned above, and also offer counseling and other services for those participating in the adoption. Catholic Charities may be contacted by calling (601) 355-8634.
If you have any questions about agency adoptions, we would be happy to discuss this with you. Our number is (601) 827-3031.
