John is lifelong resident of Mississippi and has been a practicing member of the Mississippi Bar since 1978. He is currently of counsel for the Grant Legal Group, PA, is a certified mediator, and is a qualified senior status trial judge in the state courts of Mississippi.
With a legal career spanning more than 40 years, John was in private practice for 16 years and was elected to six consecutive four-year terms as Chancellor for the 20th Judicial Chancery Court District in Rankin County.
While Chancellor, John presided over thousands of cases, including contract disputes, estates, conservatorships, guardianships, divorces, custody disputes, and numerous other Chancery Court matters.
John and his wife, Julia, live in Rankin County and are active members of Crossgates United Methodist Church.
